80/20 Rule

I subscribe to the 80/20 rule.  It is important to not deprive ourselves.  Yes, we exercise and eat healthy, nutritional foods - - but we are not machines.  As a human, we need to treat ourselves with those things that give us pleasure.  Food is a God given source of delight.  So, I say, eat clean and healthy 80% of the time.  The 20% is made up of treats & cheats.  ENJOY!

I’ve used the Samurai reference because of my Japanese heritage.   My mom is Japanese and our lineage goes back to the 16th century.  During the Sengoku period we had an ancestor who was a Samurai warrior who served a Shogun Lord.
